Electric Zoo

The first weekend of September this year had a great labor day weekend party for those who party hard - and work hard. although having fun is my only serious business you have to consider the fact that it takes so much work as well. one of the main reasons why I had to be in this Electronica Paradise is that here is someone I need to see pull stints like no other DJ does. he has become today's New York City party scene urban legend as to rocking a crowd from Pacha to the streets and Lower East Side gigs. The guy who is (I certainly want to put it this way or believe so, maybe other people think the same way of him)a demi-God of cultish following is no less than Steve Aoki.

Supposedly, the Electric Zoo event comes year after year, and I missed last year for trying to convince myself to no longer be part of the pack. This time, distance time and cold chill sure wont stop me even if it meant I had to drive an inter state, through a tunnel, 5 subway transfers and Bus to Randall's Island.

Another year to wait, and it just keeps getting better! and to all those who came, Armin Van Buuren, Moby, Sander Van Doorn, Avicci, and XXXchange - it was all worth "going away".

Days before Autumn

At the Central Park Boat House in New York City, over wine, cheese and crackers (though I had Samuel Adams Lager) we chatted with great friends, of days past, summer that went and the few hours flying away to officially embrace Fall. Today is a mark of a new season, Autumn has come and of all four seasons it ranks best for me next from Summer and Spring. does not make sense. Fine, that means categorically it's third. Temperature opens the other senses. So many things happening in Autumn too, although what holds most grand is that you can just stand still, on view a stretch of auburn and amber, hints of rusty and clay like roofs in Sicily that I so long to see some day.

As we bade farewell to Summer, I open a trunk and a box of the fewest clothes I have to keep me warm. Warm sip of vanilla caramel espresso.
